Cadbury Creme “Deviled” Eggs

For those with ‘Top Chef’-caliber kitchen skills, turning an intact Creme Egg into a halved, “deviled” egg is simple. Just slice a whole, chilled egg lengthwise along its factory-made seam with a super-sharp knife (careful!). Then, expertly wield a pastry bag full of yellow-colored buttercream to create a perfectly swirled peak atop each half. Sounds like the sort of junk-food hors d’oeuvre the newly zaftig Betty from ‘Mad Men’ might serve at her Easter Sunday brunch.

Easter Ham Waffles

Easter Ham Waffles

(6 servings)    From- Mr. Breakfast
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs – separated
  • 1 and 1/2 cups milk
  • 5 tablespoons melted shortening
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped ham

Mix and sift dry ingredients. Combine beaten egg yolks, milk and shortening; add to dry ingredients, beating until smooth.

Stir in finely chopped ham. Fold in stiffly-beaten egg whites.

Pour a spoonful of batter into each section of hot waffle iron. Bake until brown.

Ever wonder if the Easter Ham could take the Easter Bunny in a street fight? Ya, me neither.

Mr Breakfast would like to thank Saunny for this recipe.

Dave Goodings from Almonte is not only a master of furniture creation, like the chair he made me for my Steampunk room in the basement—but he has made made centrepieces out of fresh food.

The centrepiece below was made out of green onions and grape tomatoes filled with cream cheese.
